दस वर्षों तक बहुत भयंकर युद्ध हुआ। कई देशों मे विद्रोहियों ने परमाणु बम पर कब्ज़ा कर लिया और उनमे विस्फ़ोट कर दिया। इसमें लाखों लोग मारे गए। एक तरह से दुनिया की आधी आबादी ख़त्म हो गई।
अपनी इस गलती पर विद्रोहियों को बहुत अफ़सोस हुआ तब उन्होंने "V A E" से संधि का प्रस्ताव भेजा। जो की मान लिया गया। "V A E" ने भी वैक्सीन का लोगों पर प्रयोग बंद कर दिया और एक नई वैक्सीन बनाने के लिए अपने वैज्ञानिको को बोला क्योंकि उसे भी लगा की इस वैक्सीन से दुनिया मे मानव जाति ख़त्म हो सकती है।
लेकिन इस परमाणु युद्ध ने बहुत तबाही फैला दी। कई ऐतहासिक इमारते, "V A E" द्वारा बनाई गई फैक्ट्री, स्कूल, अस्पताल करीब-करीब सभी तबाह हो चुके थे। वायरस को दुनिया मे आये 60 वर्ष हो चुके थे। जिन लोगों मे वैक्सीन से वायरस ख़त्म हुआ था। वो दोबारा संक्रमित हो चुके थे। लोग भूखे मरने लगे।वायरस अपना रूप बदलने लगा। लोगों मे बेचैनी, गुस्सा भरने लगा। सभी तरह की खेती ख़त्म हो गई।
इस तरह से २० वर्ष बीत गए। अफ्रीका जैसे देशों मे लोगों ने एक दूसरे को खाना शुरू कर दिया। वायरस पूरी तरह से दिमाग पर हावी हो गया। जिन लोगों के पास हिम्मत थी वो अपने परिवार को छुपाकर रहने लगे और कुछ बेचारे वहशी लोगों का खाना बन गए।
